In previous levels, we have considered what makes games fun, but we have only briefly considered one of the essential ingredients of fun: players. Fun (hopefully!) is a product of a player interacting with a game; any attempt to understand what makes a game fun must take into account the player. In this level, we seek to learn about ways to increase our understanding of players of games and some of the ways in which to make games “fun”.
