The key takeaway from the previous stage should be that there is no such thing as a “fun” game - “fun” is a result of the combination of game and players. More than any other medium, the experience of a game is shaped by the player.

A we discussed while learning about the the MDA Framework, we can not design an aesthetic. We can not build “fun”. Instead, we have to focus on understanding what is fun to players - what aesthetics we are trying to serve - and designing mechanics that will result in them.
