Staying in contact

The CS department has a Discord server you are invited to join and use to stay in contact with all of our faculty and other students. Because it is public, keep in mind the usual expectations for working with other people.

To discuss anything about course material, use the channel for that course, e.g. #cs160 or #cs205 and participate in discussion with everybody.

To discuss something unique to you or private, such as making a plan to turn in late work or asking about grades, use a direct message only to me (or use email).

During my scheduled office hours, if you would like to chat live in Discord or set up a virtual meeting for voice/screensharing, get my attention in #office-hour-surton. Of course, I'd be even happier to see you in my office face-to-face!
